Boris

Boris Roberts, Master Butler

For years, Boris laid table for Princess Diana, The King of Spain, and Crown Prince Alexander. He's mingled with Madonna, Tom Hanks, Naomi Campbell, and Mick Jagger. Now he's brought his royal services to Panache and our clients.

Boris received his training at the Ivor Spencer School in London and is a true Master British Butler who brings to Panache a wealth of experience regarding service staff etiquette and protocol for our events.

Along with his responsibilities at Panache and consulting The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Boris' experience is extensive:

  • Head Butler of "Claridge's" of Mayfair, London.
    Boris managed the seventh floor Executive Suites and Penthouses. In this capacity he looked after Heads of State, Celebrities, Film Stars, high profile businessmen and members of the Royal House's of Europe, the Middle East and the Far East;
  • 'British Hills' in Northern Honshu, Japan.
    From 1997 to 1999 Boris was hired as Butler, Administrator and General Manager of Hotel Services. His duties included, but were not limited to, recruitment, training and management of a staff of fifty-five. He supervised hotel services, received and welcomed guests, and managed the general running of the hotel;
  • St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands.
    Boris was the Butler/Administrator to an American family. His duties included the training of the staff and the management of their two homes and estates. He personally cared for the wardrobes, menu planning, dinner parties, wines, cigars and needs of the family.

Boris credits include appearances on National British television as a subject matter expert in 'Trade Secrets of a Butler', 'Snobbery' and 'The return to Upstairs, Downstairs'. He has been a guest speaker on Japanese and New Zealand National television, and his expertise and experience has also been the topic of various newspaper articles and radio interviews.

Master of Ceremonies

Boris is a fellow of the prestigious Guild of International Professional Toast Masters. As a Master of Ceremonies he has officiated at public and private functions for the British Aristocracy, fundraising events and exclusive weddings.
