Shauna Engen, Owner & CEO
Shauna is the heart and soul of Panache Catering. A longtime veteran of the food and beverage industry with specific expertise in catering, she traveled the world getting vast firsthand knowledge of the culture, cuisine, and wines of the world and the art of the table. Her innate passion for catering, together with her drive for culinary perfection, integrity and client satisfaction, has allowed Panache to grow successfully and become preferred at the finest venues throughout Utah.
In 1996, Shauna Engen founded a catering company inspired by passion and a grand vision. After eight years of success as one of Utah's largest catering operations, Shauna assembled a team of nationally recognized professionals to form Panache Catering, Inc.; introducing a fresh idea to Salt Lake and Park City society.
In recognition of her achievements, Shauna was named "Utah Business Woman of the Year", an award presented personally by President George W. Bush. Shauna was subsequently asked to sit on the President's Business Advisory Council in Washington D.C.
Shauna was nominated for "Mother of the Year" by Governor Leavitt in 1999 and currently serves on the Board of the Sandy City Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business. She is the President's Ambassador for the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau and the prestigious women's group National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
Out of these experiences, Shauna has created a unique systems approach to event planning. Her expertise in creating systems within her company that attract highly motivated people who thrive on accountability and independence. She believes in sharing the entrepreneurial spirit with her fellow employees by empowering them with choices based on performance and profitability. She surrounds herself with team players and encourages brainstorming and the sharing of ideas.
In addition, Shauna's charity work includes fundraising projects for handicapped children in Mexico, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Utah, Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Share our Strength/Taste of the Nation, National Ability Center, Utah Symphony and Opera, Sandy Boys and Girls Club, The Guadalupe Center, Utah Museum of Art and History, Boy Scots of America, People Helping People, the Joe Quinney Sport Center/Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation, and her annual Santa's workshop party for the foster families of the Christmas Box House.
